America’s Sports Resort (ASR) plan is to build a large state-of-the-art indoor/outdoor facility that will offer a host of sports related and recreational activities and special events in southern New Jersey. This includes regional training camps and leagues for competitive tournament events in baseball, basketball, track & field and softball among other sport programs. These programs are projected to draw thousands of participants from as far as upstate New York to Maryland and out to Western Pennsylvania with strong national and international potential as well.
The proposed complex will be built in multiple phases from 2015 through 2017, creating hundreds of direct and indirect permanent jobs as each phase is completed, as well as 200-400 temporary construction jobs. Significant tax ratables are projected to be created for the city and region. It is estimated that the economic impact to the city, state and county will be in excess of $200M annually.
With the proposed location in Vineland, NJ, in the highly populated northeast (1/3 of the US population), it is anticipated that America’s Sports Resort will draw year round athletes for competitive sports events and training, their families, spectators, tourists and sponsors from all over the region, nation and world. The complex is ideally situated with access to Route 55 via Exit 26 at the west end of the site with the southern end bordering Route 55 and the city of Millville. This location is convenient to both Philadelphia and Atlantic City Airports for those traveling to the proposed complex. SORA Northeast Development LLC has been called upon to utilize their years of development and construction expertise to develop and oversee the project from inception to completion. America’s Sports Resort will be formed through strategic partnering and key personnel appointments from within all aspects of the sports world to manage and operate ASR upon completion.
America’s Sports Resort plans to construct a unique state of the art multi-sport venue that will attract a wide range of athletes. The large number of projected attendees to the complex will promote strong sponsorship opportunities, F&B (food and beverage) sales and retail sales in addition to the tournament and training revenues.
